After years of waiting, the residents of Clover Hill, Saltillo and Redfield areas will finally get safe drinking they so desperately need. Thanks to a USEPA Grant that both Crooksville and Perry County received. A grant from the Ohio Department of Development, and a loan through the Ohio Water Development Authority, good, clean, quality water will flow to these communities and help improve the quality of life for more residents of Perry County. The "project" will consist of approximately 36,000 ft. of 6" waterline, two booster pump stations and a 125,000 gallon elevated storage tank at an estimated construction cost of $1.9 million. The waterline extension was designed by Linn Engineering, Inc. from Zanesville and the grant administration is headed up by CDC of Ohio from Columbus. The Clover Hill/Saltillo Waterline Extension was officially advertised for competitive bidding on March 19, 2008, with a bid due date of April 7, 2008. All bids must be received at the Clerk's Office at 98 S. Buckeye St. by 10:00 a.m. at which time they will be opened and read aloud. We anticipate the construction starting date to be as early as May 1st. For additional information or questions, contact Village Administrator, Tom Collins at 740-982-2712.
