Crooksville Council Meeting Minutes Monday, June 6, 2016
ROLL CALL: Mayor Redfern called the meeting to order with the following members present Mr. Locke, Ms. Driggs and Mr. Mohler. Tom Collins and Jan Baughman were present. Mr. Rice, Mr. Hampton, and Ms. Smith were absent.
Police Chief Rodney Walters was present to thank all of the Police Officers of Crooksville Police Department, Mayor and council for their support during the restoration of the 1969 Plymouth. Between himself, Sgt. Chapman, Corporal Martin, as well as all of the other officers who all donated money towards this purchase. He stated that Dorothy and Pat Goebel had heard what they were doing and wrote a check to them for $200 and other businesses donated as well whether it be time, labor, or parts. He listed off businesses that all helped out during this restoration. There were individuals that donated as well. The community helped make this restoration possible. The Plymouth is in complete working condition. A few older officers from that era came out to talk to the public about the car and what life was like in Crooksville at that time. Chief Walters thanked Mr. Rice for his support and cheerleading him on through this process. He then turned over the title to the Plymouth to the Village.
Mayor Redfern stated that if anyone had any formal complaints, he would be in his office for another hour.
Due to the lack of quorum, the meeting was adjourned.
