Crooksville Council Meeting Minutes,   Monday, October 3,           2016

 

ROLL CALL:  Mayor Redfern called the meeting to order with the following members present Mr. Locke, Mr. Hampton, Ms. Smith, Ms. Driggs, and Mr. Mohler. Tom Collins and Jan Baughman were present. Chris Rice was absent.

Corlyn Altier with CSA Enterprises was present to give Council and updated EMS billing recap through end of September. She explained that her contract will be up and need renewed this year and everything will remain the same. She explained that she can come back to go over it with Council if needed.

MINUTES: Motion to approve Clerk’s minutes was made by Mr. Mohler and seconded by Mr. Locke. Mayor Redfern asked Council who the grant writer was that was approved at the prior regular Council meeting. Mr. Mohler stated that Mark had all of the paperwork with him and Mayor Redfern explained that the name was not listed but will contact Chief Hill to see. Motion carried.

REPORTS: Motion to approve October Revenue Adjustments to the 2016 Budget was made by Mr. Mohler and seconded by Ms. Smith. Motion carried.

CORRESPONDENCE AND MESSAGES: Mayor Redfern explained that he had a meeting with Ohio EPA and a couple of the businesses as well as to discuss Coachman Property to discuss environmental studies as well as cleaning up the property. Mr. Hampton asked who owned the Coachman Property. Solicitor Baughman stated that the State still owned it but the County is trying to gain ownership.

PAID BILLS: Motion to approve Resolution 2016-67 paid bills and payroll was made by Mr. Mohler and seconded by Mr. Hampton. Motion carried.

TO BE PAID BILLS: Motion to approve Resolution 2016-68 to be paid bills was made by Mr. Mohler and seconded by Ms. Smith. Motion carried.

TRANSFERS: Motion to approve Resolution 2016-69 transferring funds was made by Mr. Mohler and seconded by Mr. Hampton. Motion carried.

SAFETY: Motion to approve adding Becky Wyatt to Crooksville Part-Time EMS was made by Mr. Mohler and seconded by Ms. Smith. Motion carried.

BUILDING: Motion to approve Building Permit for Denita Wisecarver at 150 Second Street for new porch was made by Mr. Mohler and seconded by Mr. Hampton.  Council discussed this and explained that this has already been done. Mayor Redfern stated that he went up to look at a dumpster issue and had to have a tree taken down before doing this but Mayor stated that this was taken care of. Tom stated that thankfully they did not build over any lines. Motion carried.

UTILITY: Motion to approve Temporary Termination Permit for Eric Fusner at 7179 Ceramic Road was made by Mr. Mohler and seconded by Mr. Hampton. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS: Nothing. 

NEW BUSINESS: Nothing.

Motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Mohler and seconded by Mr. Hampton. Motion carried.
